A few cuts are still trickling in here and there but here is the basic list of those that fell in the annual ‘Great Saturday Massacre’. Once again, props to FBG Jeter23 whose list in the Shark Pool at footballguys.com was a great reference. I have some thoughts on some of the cuts I will follow up with as well, but for now just try not to hurt yourself with the mass amount of names. Some (Andre Woodson, Marcus Thomas) will end up on the practice squad (Woodson already did I believe) and may get work later if there is an injury.

I’ll try to give a full practice squad accounting but I make no promises. I know Woodson (NYG), RB Marcus Thomas (DET) and Darius Walker (HOU) have been signed to practice clubs or in Thomas’ place, onto the roster directly. The cut by the Chargers cost them a solid back, though one they can spare. Thomas might be a very nice short yardage guy for the Lions and could kill Rudi Johnson’s chances of catching on in Detroit.

More later – have a good one!
